Don't do Like Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall; Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.  All the king's horses and all the king's men, couldn't put Humpty together again.

Good morning!  Sometimes in spite of your very best workplace efforts you find that you are falling.  In other words, in your workplace capacity you are headed in a downward spiral that seems to have no bottom.  After you try all you can to put the broken pieces back together you call on help from others.  The King's horses and King's men come to your aid and do all they can but to no avail.  In the end you realize it is the Lord who is your Helper.  If He doesn't intervene then you have no hope.  But somehow He does.  He has the power to put it all together again and by His grace you go forward.  But you have to call on Him. The problem is that Humpty Dumpty called on horses and men; only God can do some things.

Your co-workers, employees or supervisors may turn to any number of sources to solve workplace problems today.  When desperate, people often turn to all kinds of help.  The Psalmist said, "Some trust in horses, some trust in chariots.  But we will trust in the Name of the Lord, our God" (Psalm 20:7).  If only Humpty had known that.  If only those in your office knew it.  Fortunately, you do.

Today's Workplace Challenge:  If if seems that your work-world has fallen apart under your feet today or when you yourself have been shaken to the core, consult others, seek the wisdom of those wiser than you and tap the resources that are readily available in your workplace or industry.  But first and foremost, call on the Name of the Lord your God.  Let Him be your Source.  He is your Deliverer!  He truly has the power to restore, replace, and redeem whatever messes we make or inherit at work.  Don't be shaken.  The Psalmist also affirmed, "My soul waits...for God only; From Him is my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold:  I shall not be greatly shaken.  (Psa. 62:1-2) Remember, at the end of the day, it is not the king's horses, chariots, or even the king's men.  It is the King of Kings Himself who is able!  Call to Him and He will help you no matter how severe the workplace issue, problem or brokenness.  Have a great day and make it count for His glory!
